Prices per item, VAT included, for mounting, balancing & fitting to the vehicle of tyres purchased elsewhere (e.g., Internet, …).
Van: excl. high-pressure valve (+ โฌ5.50)
2-wheeler: excl. removal and installation of the wheel. Wheels with tensioners + โฌ6.00
If your tyre has lost all or part of its pressure, you should stop immediately and mount your spare tyre. That’s why Donckers advises you to also regularly check the pressure of your spare tyre, to be sure you can use it when you need it. Never continue driving on a flat tyre, as that will damage it beyond repair. Not even with a Runflat tyre!
After you have mounted the spare wheel, you should visit Donckers to have the damaged tyre checked. Only a tyre specialist can tell you if the tyre can be repaired, because the tyre must be removed from the wheel for a complete internal inspection for damage.
Flat tyres that have been driven on for a short time are often damaged internally to such an extent that they cannot be repaired, possibly resulting in a blowout!
Most punctures, nail holes and cuts in the tyre tread (the green zone) can be repaired. Tyres with damage to the sidewall (red zone), should not be repaired.
Repairing a tyre using a “tap” (a lace soaked in glue) is strictly forbidden! The inside of the tyre is not checked and, consequently, the driver runs a significant safety risk. Such repairs are only temporary as the glue dries up and the tyre will leak again after some time. The tyre manufacturer also disclaims all responsibility in such repairs.
Don’t play with your safety: leave the inspection and repair of your tyres to a trained Donckers tyre specialist.
Prices per item, VAT included, for removal & mounting, cold vulcanization, balancing & fitting to the vehicle.

At Donckers, we understand the importance of having the right tyres for each season. Our professional seasonal changeovers ensure that your car performs optimally and your safety is guaranteed. Trust our expertise for a worry-free transition between summer and winter tyres.
Prices per set of 4 tyres, VAT included.
Storage is free if changed twice a year: otherwise โฌ40.00 per season.
Choosing a set of summer and winter tyres guarantees you maximum safety and driving comfort.ย Summer tyres are characterised by very good road holding at higher temperatures and speeds, while your winter tyres guarantee extra safety and grip during the cold winter months.ย After each seasonal change, Donckers takes the assembled tyres into insured storage for you until the next change: this way you save yourself the dirty trunk, the dragging and a pile of tyres in your garage or garden shed.
There is no extra charge for storing your tyres, provided you have them changed every spring and autumn.ย If you wish to leave your set of tyres with us without having them changed, a fee of โฌ40.00 per year will be charged.
To know what imbalance is, one actually needs to know how a rim – or a tyre, respectively – is made.
An aluminum rim is made by pouring liquid aluminium into a mould, and after cooling it, it is further treated and finished (polishing, spraying, etc.). A steel rim consists of 2 steel parts, the casing and the flange, which are welded together.
A tyre is constructed by successively “gluing” together several layers of steel wire with rubber – in numerous different rubber compositions – after which this raw tyre is plaved in a “baking mould” for vulcanisation.
A new rim or a new tyre never weighs completely the same everywhere: during their production, certain spots appear on the rim and/or tyre that weigh slightly more. Under the influence of centrifugal force, this causes imbalance.
Imbalance causes a vibration in the steering wheel at a certain speed, which is not noticeable at other speeds. This phenomenon is also known as “Shimmy”, and can even cause the entire car to vibrate in case of severe imbalance. This can then usually be felt in the backrest.
To eliminate this imbalance, the wheels are “balanced”. Using specialised electronic devices, sensors detect the spot of imbalance (the spot where the wheel weighs slightly more), and the “amount” to be compensated, expressed in grams.
Attaching balancing weights to the wheel, directly opposite this heaviest spot, eliminates this imbalance.
Balancing should always be done when the tyre is mounted for the first time, but also each time the tyre is removed from the rim, for example at the summer-winter change, or when the tyre is repaired.
In less common cases, steering wheel vibration can also be caused by:
We can also detect these causes on the balancing device: a ‘blow’ in the rim or tyre is very visible when the wheel spins on the device. But balancing will not eliminate these causes. Having your rim repaired can help here.
Are your tyres worn unevenly? Does your vehicle “pull away” so that you have to counter-steer all the time? Or does your steering wheel “tilt” when driving on a straight track? Then, in all probability, your vehicle needs to be aligned.
A wear pattern where one side of the tyre wears more than the other is a typical result of misalignment of the car. This phenomenon is potentially very dangerous as this wear pattern can result in a blowout.
If the wear occurs on the ‘inside’ of the tyre (at the back of the wheel arch), and is not detected in time, the tyre can wear further on the shoulder to such an extent that the carcass is literally ‘cut’ (right image). The carcass structure is damaged, and the tyre weakened to such an extent that it will tear open at this point. This is referred to as a blowout. Adjusting the alignment can stop this uneven wear, but the wear will obviously not improve as a result of adjusting the alignment. So good follow-up even after the alignment has been arranged is a must!
Alignment is specialist work: our experienced staff is therefore trained – using the most modern equipment available – to bring the position of your wheels under your vehicle back into perfect “alignment”.
In alignment, we distinguish 3 main wheel positions that could potentially be wrong:
Sporing (image: Toe in / Toe out).
Camber.
Caster (the wheel is too much forward or backward).

We are not responsible for damage due to corrosion (e.g., breaking a track rod because the thread is rusted)
One of the most common reasons for a red card at the technical inspection of your vehicle is the adjustment of your lights… This can easily be avoided by simply dropping by your preferred Donckers branch. There, with the help of professional, calibrated equipment, your lights will be perfectly adjusted again, so you can go to the car inspection with peace of mind, and you will not blind your oncoming traffic! You can have your lights regulated at one of our centers:
Broken battery? The causes are many, but most common are:
Full discharge mainly happens when e.g. the lights have been left on because the door was not closed properly, or the vehicle has been stationary for a long time (lawn machines or camper vans). Internally, the lead plates are then slightly warped: as soon as two such plates touch each other, a kind of short circuit occurs which ensures that the battery cell in question can no longer reproduce any energy.
Donckers offers an extensive range of batteries available for the most diverse applications:
Special high-power batteries for modern vehicles with higher energy requirements, as a result of the many contemporary electronic applications installed in cars, such as air conditioning, extended music system, as well as the new start-stop technology and regenerative braking…
Gel starter batteries, suitable for use in the dirtiest (off-road) conditions: can be installed in any position, and can be fully discharged, without damaging the battery.
Deep-cycling deep-discharge batteries for permanent power supply (camping trailers, electric meadow fencing, etc.).
Quasi all starter batteries for cars, motorbikes, trucks, tractors and even lawn machines.
Apart from tyres, what is the most important part of your vehicle for your safety? Exactly, the brakes. At Donckers you can go for the repair and/or replacement of all parts of your brake system: your brake pads and discs, brake shoes, drums, brake pumps, brake calipers and the electrical lines! For an inspection and a brake test on a professional brake test bench, and if desired a quote, you can contact the following centers:
Are you interested in one of our services? Then fill out the form below for a non-binding quote. Please clearly indicate which service(s) you would like to receive a price estimate for. If your request concerns tyres (for example, mounting in combination with new tyres), please do not forget to mention the complete tyre size, including the speed rating and load capacity. For ‘runflat’ or ‘seal’ tyres, we also ask you to indicate this. The more details you provide us, the more accurately we can prepare your quote.
These tyres are provided with a liquid adhesive layer on the inside. If a sharp object penetrates the tyre, this layer prevents air from escaping. Often, if a (small) sharp object penetrates the tyre, the tyre does not need to be replaced or repaired.
Some tyres are equipped with high-tech systems that reduce rolling noise and vibrations.
